Scope of the Service

Quoorum provides professional translation services for long-form written works, including but not limited to manuscripts, books, and editorial documents.

The service is provided on a project-by-project basis and may be subject to prior review and acceptance by Quoorum. Quoorum reserves the right to refuse any project at its sole discretion.

Access to the Website

Access to this website is provided on an "as is" basis. Quoorum may suspend or restrict access to all or part of the website at any time, without notice, for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.

Orders and Engagement

Submission of a project does not constitute acceptance. A project is deemed accepted only once explicitly confirmed by Quoorum. Delivery timelines are indicative and may vary depending on the nature, length, and complexity of the submitted material.

Payment

Payment terms are specified at the time of project confirmation. Unless otherwise stated, all fees are payable in advance. Fees paid are non-refundable once the translation work has commenced.

Obligation of Means

Quoorum undertakes to perform its services with due professional care and diligence. The service is subject to an obligation of means, not an obligation of result. Literary style, interpretation, and linguistic choices involve an inherent degree of subjectivity.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quoorum shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of the service.

Quoorum's total liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid by the client for the relevant service. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the original submitted material remain the exclusive property of the client. Upon full payment, all rights to the translated text produced by Quoorum are transferred to the client. Quoorum retains no ownership or usage rights over the submitted or translated content.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. The courts of Western Australia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms.
